Blossom

Wednesday’s Wildflower…♥…because a flower can’t be forced to open. As nature intended, it must flourish and develop on its own time.

Imagine for a moment that you are a butterfly, a butterfly that is stuck inside of a cocoon.

You are warm and safe inside of your cocoon, but something deep within you tells you that its time to move on.

Time does pass, and as it goes, you begin creating a small opening on the underside of your home.

You shake, you push, you wiggle…you squirm. Suddenly, your antennae emerge through the opening, followed by your head, and your tiny front feet.

Still, you struggle to escape.

You just can’t seem to find the strength to move your whole body through the opening of your cocoon. To anyone politely examining you, you appear drained of all energy, listless, fatigued…stuck.

And you are stuck.

But something deep within you tells you that it’s time to move on.

You’re a persistent butterfly. You try again. You shake. You push. You wiggle. You squirm. As you struggle with all your might, you slowly feel yourself growing stronger, more determined, more resilient, more courageous.

Now, you want this fight. Now you know you need this fight, in order to survive. This fight has been gifted to you to help you grow, to help you blossom.

Eventually, you are free. Your cocoon is behind you. Very carefully, you spread your wings…

…and when you are ready, you fly.

Like a butterfly, you, my friend, are part of creation. Like a butterfly, you understand now, that without your painful struggle?

The breath-taking you, that is YOU…never would have developed.

And how empty the world would be…without you.
