Three Day Quote Challenge! Day Two!

It’s Day 2 of the “3 Day Quote Challenge!”

Many thanks to the marvelous creator of Mish Mash, Aga, who nominated me for this adventure into my pile of books on quotes and unique sayings. Love her! Please visit her blog for refreshing recipes, fun clothing tips, book reviews and so much more!

Again…here are the rules:

…Thank the person who nominated you.
…Post a quote for 3 days, and explain why it appeals to you.
…Nominate bloggers each day!

Day two…Quote two…

“Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath. And if you have a friend who makes you laugh, spend lots of time with them.”

Author Unknown

Life is too short to spend time with people who frown. Frowns are contagious…frowns, are a disease. Although it is possible to maintain one’s happy spirit no matter what energy surrounds you, it is SO much easier to be your true unique beautiful self when surrounded by others who make you smile, laugh and love. And I believe that if you fill your life with laughter, that is what you will attract back to you.

I know this to be true, because this is what happened to me. When my children passed away, one by one, I lost every single friend. No wonder…no one wanted to be around me. You see, I had stopped laughing.

But then I taught myself how to live again–how to laugh again! And I attract those who laugh back to me. Of course, there’s an occasionally “frowny face” in my life. But what joy–what wonder!–when I can, most times, manage to prompt those frowns into less severe lines on their faces.

So, please…laugh! And then? Laugh some more.

My nominations for Day 2 of this challenge are:

When your heart is breaking, your loved ones don’t leave you, they wait patiently for you to heal. Your feelings are so real and sad .

But now I’m laughing 🙂 Sometimes you have to feel the pain to see the light.

There is something about laughter that is good for the soul. I believe there’s a proverb that says, ‘A joyful heart is good medicine’:).

Love this post and the quotes you included. Laughing definitely lifts up your spirits and sharpens your mental health. Even after a tough day, I notice that having a sense of humor diffuses that stress. Thank you for sharing! Sending hugs and laughter your way ❤

And to you, as well! Last year for my son’s science fair we did a poster board on “The effects of laughter on the human body.” It was awesome, discovering all of the healing effects from a simple laugh. And you can FEEL it too!

Another great post with an awesome quote. You should think of writing a post on he effects of laughter on the human body…would be very interesting.

I have thought about that! I still have the science fair project from last year 🙂 I do know that it works though…when I was at my worst with panic attacks I would get out some of my favorite dvd’s–like Zoolander–and I’d laugh, and things would calm down. Baby steps…laugh first, then heal.
