It’s Day 3! My final day of the “3 Day Quote Challenge!”
I’ve sincerely enjoyed sharing some of my favorite quotes with you, and I owe it all to the wonderful woman who nominated me, Aga, from Mish Mash. Once again, please give her blog a visit…she always makes me smile!
Okay…I’m starting to feel like a broken record! Once again, here are the rules:
♣…Thank the person who nominated you.
♣…Post a quote for 3 days, and explain why it appeals to you.
♣…Nominate bloggers each day!
Day three…Quote three…
“Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me, I want people to know ‘why’ I look this way. I’ve traveled a long way and some of the roads weren’t paved.”
I recently turned age 47, and was startled to realize that I am the happiest I think I’ve ever been. I’m not sure at what exact moment that happened, and I am not proclaiming that my life is “perfect” in all ways, but suddenly, I was at a doorway where WHO I AM had absolutely nothing to do with how many years I’ve lived on this earth, in this body. A doorway where…
…wrinkles became redefined as, experiences…
…sun spots were celebrated as sun kisses…
…gray hairs were precious memories of cuddling after soothing my son’s owies…
…and spider veins were the beautiful carvings of nine months, carrying that same son beneath my heart…♥
I am who I am because of the life I’ve lived, my own personal story that is different from yours. Every moment has been a gift, every experience a new opportunity to define myself. To wish to be younger, to wish to be different, would be to deny all that I am, and I like who I am. I have traveled a long way, and a great majority of those roads weren’t paved, but I think that it was amidst the cracks and the potholes of those roads that I first began to live. The future path is and always has been mine to create, and I, for one, intend to move forward.
My nominations for today are:
Thanks for liking and sharing! ♥

This is special, it’s so good to realize how we have grown and learned from what we have gone through. Each day is a new learning experience .
Yes, and each new day is a gift…even the rainy ones 🙂
This is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!
What a wonderful way to look at life, time, experiences and our inner and outer selves!
Yes! I prefer to think of we ladies in the same way that the French do: that we IMPROVE with age and are to be admired and looked up to 🙂
Yes! Well said!!! 😊
Beautifully done 🙂
